Like Nature, participation in Earthing Day is free. However, participants are encouraged to ask friends and family to support their effort with a pledge to one of these six nonprofits. All donations are tax-deductible.

Chester County Beekeepers Association— Use education, conservation and community collaboration to protect pollinators and advance sustainable beekeeping.

BIRDS
Bird Town Pennsylvania— Works to restore habitats, remove invasive plants and renovate parks to create a more sustainable environment for birds, wildlife and people.

TREES
Trees for the Future— Plants trees to change lives. Educates farmers to create vibrant regional economies and thriving food systems, breaking their cycle of poverty.

LAND
Kiss the Ground—Champions regeneration and healthy soil as a solution for human and planetary health.

PLANET
Earth Island Institute— Provides support for environmental projects and educates the next generation of environmental leaders.

Everybody Has a Role to Play on Earthing Day
On Earthing Day, June 28, we’re trying to get one million people across the globe to walk or stand or dance barefoot on grass, sand, or nature trails for 10 minutes. It’s a day of solidarity with the planet and with each other.
The Benefits of Walking Barefoot on the Planet*
On Numerous studies have shown that walking barefoot on the planet reduces stress, improves mood, and may help reduce inflammation. *However, everyone should check with their doctor before walking barefoot on the planet.
